Hauptstrasse 155, 10827 Berlin
- Seven room apartment
- On the ground floor there used to be an auto shop
Last week, the world lost one of its greatest artists, David Bowie.
He came to Berlin to get some time off from Los Angeles and deal with his cocaine addiction. After his steps came Iggy Pop, with whom he lived with for a while and worked together.
In just a few years in the city he released Low, Heroes and Lodger: the Berlin Trilogy.
The street plaque named David-Bowie-Strasse that you may have seen in some pictures over the past week, is an artistic installation in front of the apartment building where the artist used to live. And although his former apartment is inhabited and not open for visitation, you can still pay homage to the amazing David Bowie at the steps of Hauptstrasse 155.
Bowie will always be a star.
