Right next to where the Berlin Wall used to stand, is Berlin Nordbahnhof. But did you know that this station, besides being beautiful, has a full train of stories to tell?
Berlin Nordbahnhof lived through two World Wars and survived being literally in the middle of the Cold War. It was flooded and drained and it even held bunkers to keep GDR border guards from escaping. It sure had its losses and it is not a long distance train station anymore, but above all it is a survivor.
